Sharks
Sharks is an advanced stage of GSC's competitive pathway, for swimmers developing towards and competing at Regional level.
Building on the work developed through Dolphins, swimmers undertake increasingly demanding training while continuing to refine their technique, race skills and competitive performance.
DEVELOPING AS A SWIMMER
Raising the standard
Sharks swimmers are expected to approach their training with consistency, focus and purpose.
Training develops the fitness and skills required for higher-level competition, while swimmers continue to refine technique and learn how to deliver their best performances when it matters.
COMPETITION
Competing at a higher level
Sharks swimmers gain experience at higher-level competitions, with opportunities to work towards and achieve Regional qualification standards.
Competition provides the chance to test progress, develop race strategy and learn to perform consistently against stronger fields.

Towards national competition
For swimmers with the ability, commitment and readiness to progress further, Orcas represents the final stage of GSC's competitive pathway.
The coaching team considers performance, training consistency, technical development and readiness for the increased demands of the programme when considering progression.
